When did you first fall in love with science?
When I was six, my dad asked me if I knew why the sky is blue (he’s a professor of chemical engineering, specializing in sustainable nanotechnology). When he launched into an explanation of the way the atmosphere scatters light, I realized two things: (1) there was an unseen world governing everything around me and (2) that I needed to discover and understand as much of it as I possibly could.
