AIRPORTS
There are no public airports in Marfa. However there is a private airport for anyone who would like to charter a plane.
El Paso Airport (ELP), Mountain Time

~3hr driveTuesday, October 21st, 2025, we will have shuttles running from El Paso and Midland to Marfa. Times TBA
Friday, October 24th 2025, we will have shuttles running from Marfa to El Paso and Midland Airport. Times TBA
If there is enough interest, we will arrange for a charter drive from Austin, Dallas, and/or Houston.

DRIVING
There is something to be said for driving into West Texas from any part of the state. It is a serene drive with wide open spaces, limitless skies, and opportunities for exploration along the way.
Driving Times:
Austin ~6.5hr
Dallas ~8hr
El Paso ~3hr
Houston ~9hr
Midland ~3hr -
RENTAL CARS
Rental cars from either airport are an additional option. If you would prefer a private car, we can provide private transportation from the Midland and El Paso airports to Marfa.

TRAIN
For the unhurried traveler, there’s an Amtrak route that rolls through the West Texas plains, dropping you in the nearby town of Alpine.You can board a sleeper car from El Paso, Austin, or Houston and watch the landscape change at the pace of an old Western.
Trains arrive in Alpine on Monday, October 20, and return options run Friday the 25th (to Austin or Houston) and Saturday the 26th (to El Paso).
Since there are no rental cars available, we are happy to help arrange private transportation between Alpine and Marfa.
